ecaHack Yerevan 2013
Who will represent Armenia in the innovative and creative brains international competition
ecaHack Yerevan 2013 took place at mLab ECA(Regional Mobile Application laboratory for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia) in cooperation with Google Developer Group Armenia and Enterprise Incubator Foundation on July 27.
The main goal of the event was achieved! This Hackathon gathered creative thinkers that think out of the box, who created original, useful programs and tried to interpolate them into a mobile-based experience. Their works were represented to the members of the jury, among whichthere was also the special guest of the event: Adam Mathias Bittlingmayer from Google Mountain View.
The winner of ecaHack Yerevan 2013 contest was the team “inomma” (implementing innovations) with “Next to me” project. The project target users are the tourists, who can use this app for finding the museums’, cafes’, gardens’, cinemas’ and other places’ locations and contacts in a more easier and user-friendly way. This application includes all the uses of similar apps and, moreover, there are also corrections offlaws of the apps alike.
The winners got Android phones from Alcatel One Touch. They will continue to work on their project. The team “inomma” will participate in ecaHack 2013 worldwide Finals in Bucharest in October, and Droidcon Bucharest event, which is the European conference of Android developers.
The winners of ecaHack 2013 worldwide Finals will take part in acceleration process of 3 months in one of ecaHack’s Accelerator Program event partners with 5 of the best mentors from Silicon Valley, Israel and Berlin to establish sustainable businesses in local markets.
